Remembering the Declaration of Human Rights 12-11-04

In 1948,after World War II, a bunch of people who thought the world needed basic rights written down, got together and did just that. The local group asked me to sing a couple songs at the celebration of the anniversary.

A small, unassuming, friendly, long-standing (since the late '70s) group
from many backgrounds, united in our desire to pool our efforts on human
rights. We meet every month on the third Monday (except December) at
Sacred
Heart Major Seminary, 2700 W. Chicago (at Linwood), at 7:30 p.m.
Meetings
last about an hour to 90 minutes. Usual attendance 6-10 persons, who
come
when they can to share human rights news and interests, to write letters
of
support/appeal on behalf of individuals and issues. No dues necessary.
